UAE Cabinet approves National Policy for “Senior Emiratis”
Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum chaired the UAE cabinet meeting today at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, with the attendance of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The national policy for “Senior Emiratis”, which were previously referred to as “Senior Citizens”, aims at paying greater attention to elderly Emiratis and benefit from retirees' experience in the marketplace. During the meeting, His Highness stated that, "We have adopted the National Policy for Senior Emiratis to improve the quality of their lives and ensure their active and ongoing participation within the UAE community."
