UAE Ambassadors to Singapore, Japan sworn-in before Mohammed bin Rashid

Two new UAE Ambassadors-designate to friendly countries were sworn in on Monday before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Jamal Abdullah Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Singapore, and Shehab Ahmed Al Fahim, UAE Ambassador to Japan, pledged to be loyal to the UAE and its president, to respect the state’s constitution and laws, to place the state’s interest above all considerations, and to perform their duties with honesty and sincerity, and to preserve its secrets.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid wished the two ambassadors success in their mission and urged them to work to strengthen friendship and cooperation between ''our country and both Singapore and Japan in a way that preserves our country and our people their national interests and build new bridges between the UAE, Singapore and Japan that contribute to strengthening human, cultural and scientific ties between our people and the peoples of Singapore and Japan.'' He also directed them to reflect the noble Arab and Islamic values and to be messengers of peace, love and openness for our people and our state in these two friendly countries Furthermore, Sheikh Mohammed also received the credentials of new seven ambassadors of a number of sisterly and friendly nations to the UAE. His Highness received the credentials of ambassadors of Vietnam, France, the Maldives, Afghanistan, Mauritania, Bangladesh, and Malta who conveyed the greetings of their leaders to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and their wishes to the people of the UAE of continuous progress and prosperity.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed the ambassadors, wishing them and their families a good stay in the country, and assured them that they will receive all the care, attention and all forms of assistance necessary to enable them to perform their duties in full service for the interests of their countries and in a way that achieves common benefits for the UAE and their countries, as well as humanitarian, cultural, health, economic and commercial cooperation and other areas of cooperation that bring good and benefit to all.
