Under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the third mass wedding for people with special needs, called the 'Wedding of Hope', will be held on the seventh of January 2009, for one hundred bride grooms. This event will coincide with the anniversary of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum taking office as Ruler of Dubai. The wedding will be held at the Dubai International Centre for Conventions and Exhibitions and is being organized by the Dubai Club for Special Sports in coordination with the Arab Family Organization and Al Yasmeen Company.
