UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan chaired a meeting of the UAE Supreme Council, during which they discussed the federation's progress over the 40 years since unification. Present at the meeting, which was held  at Al Mushrif Palace,  were UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai and Supreme Council Member His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Ajman and Supreme Council Member His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Fujairah and Supreme Council Member His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain and Supreme Council Member His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and Supreme Council Member His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi
