Two new UAE Ambassadors to brotherly and friendly countries were sworn in on Monday before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, at Qasr Al Watan (Al Watan Palace) in Abu Dhabi.

Ibrahim Salem Mohammed Al Mashrekh and Saeed Mohamed Murshid Al Maqbali were sworn in as ambassadors to the states of Austria and Comoros, respectively.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, were in attendance at the ceremony.

The new ambassadors pledged their loyalty to the UAE and its President, to show respect for the constitution and laws, and to place the country's interests over any other considerations while performing their diplomatic tasks with a high sense of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.

Furthermore, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also received the credentials of six new ambassadors from a number of friendly nations to the UAE.
