Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited today the headquarters of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). During his visit, His Highness approved a number of RTA’s developmental projects. H. H. Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the progress of the previously approved projects. His Highness directed the concerned RTA departments to proceed with the work in these projects to meet the required of transportation infrastructure for Dubai Expo 2020 and Dubai Strategic Plan 2021. Sheikh Mohammed approved the designs of metro stations for Route 2020. Shaikh Mohammad also approved a project to develop roads and intersections around the International City and the Chinese Market where work will begin by the beginning of 2016. Shaikh Mohammad expressed his satisfaction with the projects underway, emphasizing that development is continuing in Dubai until it becomes a full-fledged city achieving the established objectives set in Dubai Plan 2021.
