Mohammed bin Rashid visits UAE’s northeastern regions

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai,His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, made a field tour to the northeastern regions of the country this morning, in line with the government plan to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in all the Emirates. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Pursuant to the directives of the UAE President; His Highness launched several housing initiatives worth AED 5 billion, which will benefit 10,000 Emiratis. Sheikh Mohammed commenced his tour by visiting Al Seouh residential complex project in Sharjah. The project is implemented by the Zayed Housing Program (ZHP). He also visited Khalifa residential complex in Dibba Fujairah. Initially, he approved AED 3 billion grants for the benefit 6,000 citizens. He also approved the names of 1,971 citizens, who will collect about AED 1 billion. Moreover, His Highness ordered the construction of three residential complexes in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Qaiwain, amounting to AED 1.2 billion. 1,200 citizens will benefit from the construction of these residential complexes. His Highness’s tour also included a visit to the family of the citizen Ali Abdullah Al Hassani, a 90 year old paralyzed man living in Al Raheeb, Fujairah. Sheikh Mohammed learned about Al Hassani’s medical condition from a local newspaper last April and ordered treatment for him and his wife. Sheikh Mohammed’s humanitarian visit to Al Hassani stemmed from his keen interest in providing a decent quality of life to all UAE citizens. His Highness received a number of senior citizens who welcomed him to their locales, as they considered his visit an assurance of unity between the leadership and the people. The fourth stop of his visit was a tour of the 32km highway connecting Dibba and Khor Fakkan. The multi-phase project is being implemented by the Ministry of Public Works. Two phases are accomplished, as well as 90% of the third phase. His Highness also reviewed the 550m tunnel project, included in the second phase of the 1.5 km, leading to a double lane outside the tunnel, with a total cost of AED 240 million. He spoke with chief editors of local newspapers about the federal government, telling them that the government is set to achieve its development objectives, which aim to ensure the comfort and welfare of the UAE’ s citizens.
