UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the new headquarters of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) at Al Memzar this evening. Upon his arrival, Sheikh Mohammed was welcomed by H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Federal National Council Speaker; H.E. Juma Al Majid, Chairman of Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage; H.E. Ibrahim Bumelha, Advisor to His Highness for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Chairman of the Board of DIHQA, and members of DIHQA board, along with a number of dignitaries, senior officials, and scholars. The cost of the new state of the art facility is around AED 60 million, all donated by Sheikh Mohammed. During the visit, His Highness also toured the “Peace be upon you Prophet Mohammed” exhibition. This exhibition features a collection of sacred relics related to the life of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), in addition to maquettes for Mecca and Medina. It highlights the sublime images of love, elegance, and etiquette in the life of the chosen Prophet, and the role of women in his life. Moreover, it contains scripts that provide a life-sketch of Prophet Mohammed’s dignified biography.
