Mohammed Bin Rashid visits ancient city of Teotihuacan

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has visited the ancient city of Teotihuacan. The city is thought to have been established around 100 BC and the origin of its founders is unsure. The Vice President and his accompanying delegation toured the city located in the Basin of Mexico, 35 kilometers northeast of Mexican capital Mexico City. Sheikh Mohammed got familiarized on components of the historic city which includes wonders of the world, which reflects mankind's capability to invent and achieve the impossible since the city was built in a very precise way and includes residential complexes with wonderful designs. These complexes were built by builders and designers using special limestone that entailed massive cutting down of trees. This led to the curtailment of forest areas, damage to green nature of the area and drought. Residents of such forests were obliged to immigrate in 750 AD. At “La Tam Rota" restaurant, means cave in Uzbek language, His Highness and the accompanying delegation had some soft drinks and took photographs at the area to commemorate the visit. Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Minister for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister of State Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Director General of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director of the Office of the Vice-President Lt. General Musabah bin Rashid AI Fattan, Director General of the Dubai Department of Protocol Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, UAE Ambassador to Mexico Saeed Rashid Obeid Al Za'abi and Ambassador of Mexico to the UAE Francisco Alonso Escobar and a number of accompanying members.
