  H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai received the Chairman of Lloyd’s International Insurance Company in the UK yesterday evening. They discussed cooperation between the insurance industry in UAE and Lloyd’s International and the company’s own desire to expand its investment activities in the region through the UAE market.   The head of Lloyd's insurance company sought to strengthen its presence in the Gulf region and the Middle East via the UAE in general and Dubai in particular, which he described as global trading and financial hub deserves appreciation and follow-up by major international companies competing for the UAE and regional markets The chairman of Lloyd’s praised the UAE’s infrastructure and said that the legal system in the UAE compared favorably with international standards.   The meeting was attended by Her Highness Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed, the Duke of York Prince Edward, Chairman of Ruler’s Court Mohammed Ibrahim Shebani and Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Dr. Omer bin Sulaiman.
