His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai received, at Zabeel Palace this morning, Dr. Bashar Al Assad, President of Arab Republic of Syria. His Highness accompanied his brother, the grand guest of the country; the Syrian president and his accompanying delegation in a car tour included Sheikh Zayed and Al Wasl roads and Jumeirah Beach marina, in which President Assad was briefed on mega development projects carried out in different areas of Dubai. The Syrian President, Bashar Al Assad attended the banquet hosted by His Highness, in honor of the guest and accompanying delegation. His Highness, accompanied by President Bashar Al Assad, also visited the Global Village site on the Emirates Road, where they launched the great frame for the Dubai Metro project.
