  H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, received Dr. Mahmood Al Abrash, the Syrian Parliament Speaker and his accompanying delegation, at Zabeel Palace. The Speaker conveyed greetings from the Syrian President, Bashar Al Assad.   Sheikh Mohammed discussed the importance of revitalizing the Arab parliaments’ role in serving the interests of its peoples and bridging the gaps between them. He emphasized the need for restoring communications between Arab countries for serving the highest interests of our nations and for achieving the Arab dream.   Sheikh Mohammed also mentioned that the economy had a vital role in bringing Arabs together and said that the focus on economic development throughout the Arab world, must be increased as a means to achieving stability and prosperity in the country, as well as creating employment opportunities for the Arab youth.    The meeting was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, H.E. Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair, Speaker of the Federal National Council, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Event Management Corporation, H.H. Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Minister and other senior officials.
