Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, today received Rahul Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress.

The meeting, which was attended by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, shed light on the historical relations between the two countries and their solid bonds of friendship.

They underlined the importance of maintaining the privileged relations between the two countries on the basis of tolerance, mutual understanding and fostering interfaith dialogue.

Gandhi commended the great developmental strides made by the UAE and the impressive transformational drive adopted by the country at all fronts. He also praised the tolerance model adopted by the country, which, he said, is an example to be emulated by all world nations.
