UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, accompanied by Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Deputy Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this afternoon in DIFC, received José Viñals, Chairman of Standard Chartered in Dubai, as the Group board held its meeting for the first time outside London.

His Highness received, as well, Jes Staley, CEO of Barclays Group, visiting the UAE among his annual visits to the centers and branches providing banking and financial services in Europe, US, Latin America, Australia, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Barclays Group headquarters is located in London, and Dubai is its regional center, covering Gulf countries, Middle East, and North Africa.
