​ UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received the President and Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Reuters James C. Smith this morning at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. The meeting was held in the presence of Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.  During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed welcomed Smith and his accompanying delegation, and commended their cooperation with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in organizing the Global Islamic Economic Summit, in coordination with the Dubai Capital of the Islamic Economy Initiative. Sheikh Mohammed added that the event drew over 3000 businesspersons, decision-makers, experts and specialists in the field of Islamic economics, and praised the report issued recently by Thomson Reuters, which highlighted the Global Islamic Economy as a fundamental sector whose structure is affected by Islamic values.
