Mohammed bin Rashid presides Cabinet meeting and approves federal budget

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, presided the Cabinet session held today at the Presidential Palace during which he approved the draft of the federal budget of the fiscal year 2017- 2021, with estimated expenditures of 248 billion dirhams for five years and a budget of 48.7 billion dirhams for 2017 as well as the revenues of the independent entities and the financial investments.
The UAE is the first Arab country to prepare a five-year annual periodical budget as per the directives of Sheikh Mohammed to develop the level of the social services rendered as well as raising the level of smart governmental services, and increasing the rate of satisfaction with the Federal Government efforts in prevailing welfare, prosperity and security among the society.
