UAE Vice President, Prime Ministry and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presented Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Women" to Her Majesty Queen Rania Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, the wife of His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Christine Lagarde, IMF Managing Director. This is the first time for such medal that is designed for women to be granted internationally.

This event took place on the sidelines of the official opening ceremony of Global Women's Forum Dubai, as Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has presented "Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Women" to Queen Rania Al-Abdullah and Christine Lagarde. This medal is to be granted to women who have a strong influence and great achievements in different sectors, especially in supporting and empowering women of all ages and races.
