Under the patronage of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Founder’s Memorial was unveiled, today, on Abu Dhabi Corniche in honor of the UAE Founder His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The opening ceremony was attended by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a number of UAE sheikhs, Sheikh Zayed’s friends and loved ones, along with UAE ministers and dignitaries.

The Founder’s Memorial unveiling ceremony took place simultaneously with the launch of Year of Zayed national initiative, announced by the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to mark Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan’s 100th birth anniversary.
