Mohammed bin Rashid, Mohamed bin Zayed, and Al Sisi witness Zayed-1 joint military exercises
The joint military exercise “Zayed-1” between the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates and Egypt concluded today. It was the first of its kind between the two countries in terms of the size of the units involved and its force and diversity. The conclusion of Zayed-1 was witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces; Field Marshal Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, Deputy Prime Minister, General Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production of Egypt; and Prince Salman Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia. Zayed-1 emphasizes the historical and strategic bilateral military ties between the two countries and raises the two armies’ level of preparedness and the development of their capabilities. Zayed-1 seeks to enrich military expertise to achieve the desired integration of the various forces involved in the exercise.
