Mohammed bin Rashid mets with the media personalities, Chief Editors and representatives based in UAE

H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai met today evening at his Za’abeel Palace in presence of H.H. Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Chairman of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, with the media personalities, Chief Editors and representatives of UAE-based local and foreign newspapers, news agencies and satellite channels. During the meeting, which was attended by H.H. Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Al Gergawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, H.E. Saqr Ghubash Saeed Ghubash, Minister of Labour and Chairman of National Media Council, H.E. Ahmed Abdulla Al Sheikh, Media Escort to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed and Deputed Member of Board of Directors for Dubai Media Authority, H.E. Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director General of Dubai Protocols and Guest House Department, Sheikh Mohammed exchanged Ramadan greetings with the media personalities. Members of the media praised the numerous initiatives by Sheikh Mohammed, including the recent move “Nood Dubai” to provide protection and treatment for people suffering from blindness and other eye diseases. The journalists also thanked Sheikh Mohammed for his directives to build a permanent headquarters for the Journalists Association. They also commended his decision banning imprisonment of journalists for reasons related to discharge of their professional duties and also for establishing the Mohammed bin Rashid Media College at the American University of Dubai with cooperation with the world reputed Media College of South California University. Sheikh Mohammed hosted, after Al Maghrib prayers an Iftar for all those present.
