  H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai met with President Bashar Al Assad of Syria, who welcomed Sheikh Mohammed considering that fraternal visits between officials from both countries will lift protocol and formality barriers and enhances contacts between them.   They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties, current developments in the Arab world and the need to cooperate and coordinate for Arab rights and solidarity.
