UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with a number of prominent Emirati and Foreign writers and poets who are participating in the Emirates Airlines Festival of Literature. Sheikh Mohammed’s meeting came within the cultural evening “Verses from the heart of the desert” organised by Emirates Airlines Festival of Literature in association with Dubai Arts and Culture Authority in Al Aweer Area Welcoming the guests of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed exchanged with them talks about their participation in this festival and its influence as a window for constructive cultural contact. He ordered that the cultural evening be an annual event so that bridges of interaction and connection between UAE poets and writers and their Western peers be strengthened.
