Mohammed bin Rashid meets Chinese President

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai held talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao on bilateral and economic relations and mutual investment between the two countries today at the Great Peoples' Hall. This is the first official visit to Beijing since last visit before 18 years by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the year 1989.The Chinese leader described Shaikh Mohammad as an "old friend" of the Chinese leadership and people, stressing his major role in developing the bilateral ties. Today an agreement will be signed, concerning bilateral assistance in criminal matters, in addition to three MOUs related to Higher Education, Scientific Research and exchange of information between UAE Interior Ministry and Chinese Security and Custom Department in the field of drugs trafficking, including one on defence industries.
