Mohammed bin Rashid launches the Dubai Creek Cultural Project

  H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai launched the Dubai Creek Cultural Project today, the international hub for culture. The project will stretch for 20 Km and is expected to transform the UAE, especially Dubai, into an international centre for culture.The ceremony, which held at Sheikh Saeed's House in Shindagha, started with UAE National Anthem and a Documentary Film narrating Dubai development story since 1950's.     H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili sect, and other Sheikhs, Ministers and Senior Officials listened to the speech delivered by Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Chairman, who announced that the Authority has been honoured to have its first project as our Profit Mohammed's (Peace be upon him) Museum and after 5 days from date of directives issued by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.   Sheikh Mohammed looked over a model for the opera house that will be a central feature of the project. The project will include 10 museums, 9 libraries, 14 theatres, 7 institutes for arts and culture and 11 art galleries.
