Mohammed bin Rashid launches 'Smart Initiative' for higher education

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the Mohammed bin Rashid Initiative for Smart Learning for Higher Education today at the headquarters of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in Abu Dhabi. The launching ceremony took off as Sheikh Mohammed signed an iPad tablet similar to the tablets used by students, announcing the implementation of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Learning as part of the 'smart learning' initiative. Approximately 14,000 students at Zayed University, United Arab Emirates University and the Higher Colleges of Technology will benefit from the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Learning Initiative for Higher Education. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan as well as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and HCT Chancellor Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
