Mohammed bin Rashid launches One Million Arab Coders initiative

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched One Million Arab Coders initiative, as a part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives foundation. It is considered to be the largest programming project aiming at training one million young Arabs in programming and its related technologies, and keeping them up-to-date with the accelerating development in computer sciences and programs. The initiative aims at empowering young Arabs and equipping them with the technological tools to build their future and improve their skills. It will also provide Arabs with employment opportunities to utilize the skills needed to contribute in the development of the digital economy, constituting the future’s economy.

The launch of the initiative was attended by Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with a number of ministers and senior officials.
