UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the National Policy for Empowering People with Disabilities during a demonstration organized today by the Ministry of Community Development.

His Highness announced the launch of the name "People of Determination" instead of " People with Disabilities", in the presence of Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His Highness also ordered to assign an officer in all organizations and utility facilities to be responsible for considering, facilitating and approving services for People of Determination under the title of "People of Determination Services officer".

His Highness announced the establishment of the advisory board for people of determination comprising community members appointed for providing advice and opinion to achieve the National Policy for Empowering People of Determination.
