Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched the 2015 - 2021 strategy for the International Humanitarian City at its headquarters in Dubai. The launching ceremony was attended by Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The ceremony started with the rendition of the UAE National Anthem, followed by a documentary about IHC that was established in 2003 following the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Since then, IHC has grown to become the region’s prime logistics hub for humanitarian operations carried out in collaboration with UN agencies and other international agencies concerned with humanitarian services.
