05 May 2014

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai launched a new trademark for the international marketing and promotion of Dubai. The event was attended by Deputy Ruler of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The launch came during His Highness’s visit to the 21st round to the Arabian Travel Market Exhibition, inaugurated this morning in the Dubai World Trade Centre. The exhibition features nearly 2,700 private and public companies and entities from the UAE and more than 80 countries around the world. Al Maktoum issued directives to the relevant government departments and entities in Dubai approve and use the new trademark in the context of international marketing. This trademark will affirm that the emirate is run by one team and speaks with one voice to its citizens and visitors. Al Maktoum toured the stands of exhibition, which serves as a platform for regional and international companies as well as for government and private entities to highlight their historical and cultural heritage, and tourist landmarks. Tourism constitutes an important source of national income worldwide.
