Mohammed bin Rashid inspects new premises of Forensic Science and Criminology Department

UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum paid an inspection visit today to the new under-construction premises of the Dubai Police General Headquarters’ General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology. He was accompanied by the Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Director General of Dubai Protocol Department Khalifa Saeed Suleiman. The department is the first of its kind in the Middle East in terms of technology, specialties, and area of the building site. Upon arrival to the site, Sheikh Mohammed was received by the Dubai Police Chief, and a number Dubai Police General HQ Department Heads and Forensic Science and Criminology staff. Sheikh Mohammed congratulated the staff on this great achievement, which - upon completion in the near future – will be a major cultural, technological and scientific landmark, as it is the first facility employing such advanced technologies and qualified national staff. Housed within the Dubai Police General HQ grounds, the new building is being constructed on a total area of 420 thousand square feet.
