Mohammed bin Rashid inaugurates the GIES Second Edition and launches Salaam Gateway
Today, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the second edition of the Global Islamic Economy Summit (GIES), under the theme ‘Driving Innovation, Unlocking Potential’ , in the presence of 2000 decision makers and business leaders from all over the Islamic world and beyond.
On the sidelines of the Summit, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed visited the exhibition and inspected the pavilions of several Islamic companies and financial institutions. He was also briefed on various solutions and options, coping with the global development in financial services.
Moreover, H.H. launched today the first Global Islamic Economy Portal, “Salaam Gateway”, which reaffirms the UAE’s position as a hub for the Islamic economy and articulates Dubai's strategy for Islamic economy development that was launched in 2013.
