Mohammed bin Rashid inaugurates electricity project

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated an electricity network connection project between the UAE and Gulf Cooperation Council States (GCC) during an event at the Intercontinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi this morning. The opening ceremony took place in the presence of Dubai Deputy Ruler H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Following the national anthem, Sheikh Mohammed pressed the starter button officially launching phase two of the electricity project linking the UAE with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. Phase three will see the Sultanate of Oman and other Council members connected to the electricity network
