Mohammed bin Rashid inaugurates Dubai Water Canal

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the Dubai Water Canal project today. The canal will connect the Business Bay to the Arabian Gulf, as it stretches 3 km in length and passes through the heart of Dubai, at a total cost of about AED 2 billion. The inauguration ceremony held at Safa Park in Dubai was attended by the Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; The Deputy Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; H.E. The Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, H.H. Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Director of the Dubai Department of Information H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum. The ceremony was also attended by many sheikhs, dignitaries, media and economic event organizers, and heads of local government departments.
