Mohammed bin Rashid inaugurates 200 MW first stage of third phase of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park
Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has inaugurated the 200 megawatts (MW) first stage of the 800MW third phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park which is implemented by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), based on the Independent Power Producer system (IPP) in partnership with a consortium led by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), and EDF Group, through its subsidiary EDF Energies Nouvelles. The other two projects will be implemented with a capacity of 300 megawatts each during 2019 and 2020.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and number of Ministers, senior officials and Director Generals of Dubai government departments.
