UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said the current events in the region are the focus of his business and agenda. He added:   "Whoever knows me and my history shall recognize that I do not employ my humanitarian initiatives for any political or economic purpose and I do not award grants based on religious, sectarian, or ethnic reasons whatsoever.

In an interview with Newsweek Middle East Representative at his rest house in Al Marmoum, His Highness indicated that it's wrong to link the future of our generations to the fluctuations and speculations of oil markets. What we make in the UAE is building a successful model which can be adopted by any country or nation in the region. Also what we make is building a model from within the region that can be applied in the region with all its complexities and interventions. We hope the UAE model can be benefited from.
