Mohammed bin Rashid honors winners of UAE Drones for Good Award

UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has honored the winners of the UAE Drones for Good Award. The award ceremony was attended by the Crown Prince of Dubai H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Deputy Ruler of Dubai H.H Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs H.H Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Minister of the Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi; Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Qamzi and Director-General of Dubai's Protocol and Hospitality Department Khalifa Saeed Suleiman. Expressed his happiness for honoring various government, national and international categories of the UAE Drones for Good Award, Sheikh Mohammed praised the level of advanced technology and innovation involved in the making of the participating drones. He added: "Surely the government adoption of new technologies opens new and vast horizons, and serves as an incubator for the talented, and the future of the nation." Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during the second Government Summit, the 'UAE Drones for Good Award' received over 800 local and international entries from 57 countries around the world. Only 39 contestants qualified for the semi-finals stage of the two-day event, which offers a total prize money worth of AED 4.67 million.
