Mohammed bin Rashid honors Dubai Government Excellence Programme awards winners

  H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai attended the 10th Dubai Government Excellence Programme awards ceremony today at Madinat Jumeirah.   Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum delivered a speech in which he emphasised that the Government existed to serve people and Government employment is not a means of livelihood only, but gateway for productivity. He pointed out in his speech that Government Departments in Dubai are working as one team for one goal, that is success and striving efficiently to implement Dubai Strategic Plan 2015.   Sheikh Hamdan announced the results of the DGEP awards with Distinguished Government Departments: Dubai Police and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) shared first place in this category while Dubai Municipality came third.   Sheikh Hamdan said that all employees and officers in Dubai Government are following the foot step of Sheikh Mohammed, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai for achieving development and pioneering for Dubai and the UAE.   The Dubai Crown Prince concluded his speech by saying “Our father, Sheikh Mohammed, always reiterates before his children saying “You are my sons and I love you and Dubai my daughter and I love her, but those with no productivity, achievements or innovation, they shall have no place in Dubai”. Sheikh Mohammed also presented awards to distinguished government employees. He honoured DGEP's organisers, including Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Al Gergawi, and delivered speech in which he congratulated the winners and said that the Government was working hard to provide all UAE nationals with housing, schools and healthcare.
