UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum issued an order appointing State Minister Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi as a managing director of the Higher Committee on Hosting the World Expo 2020. Sheikh Mohammed also ordered that a special Expo 2020 office be set up and headed by Al Hashemi as director general. In the same context, Sheikh Mohammed chaired a meeting of the Higher Committee on Hosting the World Expo 2020, held today at the headquarters of Dubai Investment Company based in DIFC. Attending the meeting were Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
