  UAE President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has presented the Islamic Personality of the Year Award to the Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik in the presence of the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This award was announced by the 17th edition of the Dubai International Holy Qur’an Award. As the patron and founder of the award, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum welcomed the prominent Indian scholar to Zabeel Palace and presented him with the honor. Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Dr. Naik for reaching such advanced levels of knowledge and insight concerning the rulings and principles of our true religion, and for adopting calm dialogue and proof-based persuasive methodology in preaching and promoting Islam as a religion of mercy and tolerance.
