Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, witnessed the commencement of the building and launching of the first Arab Islamic probe to reach Mars, under the supervision of a national work team. In the presence of His Highness, the UAE Space Agency signed a detailed agreement with Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIASAT) at Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation in Dubai. The agreement covers the execution and launch of the probe to Mars together with the follow up and implementation of all its stages under the supervision and direct financing of the Agency by virtue of a seven-year term agreement.
