Mohammed bin Rashid attends the opening session of the 12th conference organized by the Arab Thought Foundation
UAE Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the official opening session of the 12th Fikr Conference today, held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, International Financial Centre. The two-day conference is organized by the Arab Thought Foundation. The opening session was also attended by Dubai Crown Prince H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Governor of Mecca Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Chairman of the Arab Thought Foundation Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, as well as a group of officials and Arab intellectuals. H.H. Prince Khalid Al Faisal delivered the opening speech, in which he thanked the United Arab Emirates for hosting the conference. He also congratulated the UAE for winning the bid to host the Expo 2020, as he regards the UAE’s win as a success for the entire Arab region. At the end of the opening session, the Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received the Technology Innovation Award on the Dubai Smart Government initiative from Prince Khalid Al Faisal, as a recognition from the Arab Thought Foundation for the Dubai government’s transformation into a 100% smart government, considered to be a first-of-its kind initiative in the Arab World.
