Mohammed bin Rashid attends opening session of the Annual Meeting of WEF’s Global Future Councils

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the opening of the third Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Future Councils which started today in Dubai. The event, which brings together nearly 700 top experts from 70 countries, features 38 councils each focused on a specific future issue. His Highness said that “The data revolution and rapid developments in the fields of technology and advanced science will be an important milestone for shaping the future ... We in the UAE are keen to make use of these developments and adapting modern technology to serve the path of human development”.
The opening session was also attended by Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation as well as a number of Sheikhs and Ministers.
