Mohammed bin Rashid attends English 1000 Guineas Stakes race
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended today the English Classic 1000 Guineas Stakes at the historic Newmarket's Rowley Mile course in the UK, in the presence of Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Godolphin team scored a worthy victory in the 1800-metre Dahlia Stakes race (Group 2), with the participation of 8 horses. Godolphin’s Wuheida, ridden by William Buick and trained by Charlie Appleby, came first and won the race.
The race was attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, along with a number of Sheikhs, senior officials, and fans of British horseraces.
