Mohammed bin Rashid Attends a Documentary Screening about Dubai International Airport
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, attended a documentary screening about Dubai International Airport this evening. The event took place in the IMAX Theatre in in Meydan, Nad Al Sheba. Also in attendance were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of the Emirates Group. The 60-minute documentary shows the actual processes which regulate and enhance workflow, along with the routine procedures that take place on daily basis at the various facilities of the Dubai International Airport. The documentary illustrates the services offered to passengers once they land on the runway, along with the facilities offered to them at the counters of the General Directory of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, the baggage collection areas, and the exit and customs gates. The film is part of a 10-episode documentary series, filmed and produced by Dubai Airports, in collaboration with the National Geographic Channels. The episodes - each of which is 50 minutes - will be aired starting from Thursday on the National Geographic Channel. 500 million viewers around the world are expected to watch the documentary. The documentary screening was also attended by Sheikh Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of the Dubai Ruler's Court; Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director General of the Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department; Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of the Meydan Board of Directors, and Ward Platt, the CEO of National Geographic Channels International, along with senior officials and media representatives.
