    UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the opening of 9th annual EFG Hermes Conference, at Atlantis Palm Hotels and Resorts in Dubai today. Held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed, the conference was also attended by Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and a number of heads of institutions, financial and economic departments in the UAE. The thee-day conference discussing investment opportunities available in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) saw the participation of about 230 investors from around the globe as well as representatives from 59 leading companies in MENA. During the opening session, Sheikh Mohammed was detailed by a number of world speakers on the regional and global economic and financial situations and experts as well as international financial institutions perspectives for the world economy growth and the size of current and expected investment in the future.
