Vice President and Prime Minster of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved 20 strategic initiatives for Emirates Scientists Council, with the aim to create conducive environment for innovation and scientific research in the country, develop a generation of Emirati scientists, researchers and academians and develop the scientific infrasctructure to serve the country's interests and cement its pursuit of building a knowledge-based economy.

His Highness Mohamed bin Rashid's remarks came as he chaired a meeting with the members of Emirates Scientists Council, in presence of Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
