Mohammed bin Rashid and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi participate in a procession at Qasr al Hosn Festival

  UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander Armed Forces General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum have participated in a ceremonial procession and a cultural program at Qasr al Hosn Festival held in Abu Dhabi, celebrating 250 years of Emirati history and culture and construction of Al Hosn Palace  by the late Sheikh Dhiab bin Eissa Al Nahyan. Sheikh Mohammed, the Crown Princes, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western regions and sheikhs toured the exhibition organized in celebration of the political and historical development of the Emirate symbolized by Qasr al Hosn fort. Sheikh Mohammed browsed a number of historical documents and paintings of Al Nahyan’s Family as well as ancient belongings that dated back to 250 years. The procession, which has kicked off this afternoon from Al Manhal Palace passing through Qasr al Hosn fort in Abu Dhabi, saw the participation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in traditional folk dance. Sheikh Mohammed also attended a heritage gala where the history of Abu Dhabi was narrated through stories about pearl diving and falconry and where traditional folklore was demonstrated through crafts from the desert, the oasis and the coast.
