Mohammed bin Rashid and Mohammed bin Zayed launch UAE National Space Program

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in the presence of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched the UAE National Space Program. His Highness adopted the "Space National Program" strategy, the biggest integrated action plan of its kind in the region including the establishment of the first scientific city simulating life on Mars. The plan comprises Mars museum, ad-hoc labs, lack of gravity experiments, Arab Program for Space Exploration and the launch of the biggest forum for Mars scientists in the world.

Their Highnesses launched a satellite manufacturing facility as part of Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), so the UAE became the first Arab country to manufacture satellites wholly.
