Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, launched one of the most substantial projects of the year of blessings 2017; the National Volunteering Platform that aims at registering 200,000 national and resident volunteers by the end of the year. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid registered himself as a volunteer in the field of convoy of hope and environmental work, whereas His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed registered himself as a volunteer in the field of humanitarian aid.

Present at the launching event of the platform was a number of Sheikhs and Cabinet members, whereas both of the Ministry of Community Development and Emirates Foundation called for masses of community, especially the youth, to register themselves as volunteers in the platform, which is considered the most inclusive across the country, as it includes companies, foundations and governmental entities that offer volunteering oppurtunities in 14 different sectors, where the volunteers can choose among them to serve the nation and offer various community services.
