​ UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at Zabeel Palace today. His Highness exchanged views with Ban Ki-Moon on a variety of regional and international issues, as well as developmental and humanitarian matters. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Ban Ki-Moon commended the UAE’s leadership in sustainable development and deployment of renewable energy. He noted that the UAE’s sound landmark projects reflect its leadership's far-sighted vision towards diversifying sources of national income, conserving the local environment, and providing development aid to a number of countries, with a focus on renewable energy.
